As well as Tanguy Ndombélé, Tottenham decided to loan out Joe Rodon last summer, sending the Welsh defender to Stade Rennais for the season.

They also included a €20m option to buy in the deal, but that doesn’t seem to be something the Ligue 1 side are interested in using, as they simply aren’t playing him anymore.

This is what Foot-Sur7 look at on Wednesday, and ask the very pertinent question of ‘Where has Joe Rodon gone?’.

Used quite a lot over the first half of the season, the Tottenham loanee hasn’t featured in the league since February 12th in a 3-1 loss to Toulouse, and hasn’t even been in the squad for the past two games against Lyon and Reims.

He’s now ‘completely disappeared off the radar’, and the reasons for his absence of late ‘as still not known to this day’.

They dismiss the idea of a physical issue, since he represented his country during the last international break.

Therefore, there are real questions about the Tottenham player’s future in France, as he now looks set to be returning to Spurs, and it could simply be that Bruno Génésio has lost faith in him.

Either way, it’s not great news for Tottenham.
