Pierluigi Gollini has repeatedly been linked with a move to Torino over the past week, with a potential stay at Tottenham Hotspur not really being mentioned in those reports.
The 27-year-old, who spent time in Manchester United’s youth system earlier in his career, is currently on loan at Spurs from Atalanta.
Given there’d been a lack of reporting over a possible Tottenham stay, at least in the Italian media, the assumption was they’d be letting him return to the Serie A club without a fight.
TMW believe differently.
In a Tuesday report, which is based on their own information, TMW twice say Spurs want to ‘confirm’ his stay, so turn the season-long loan into something more long-term.
That doesn’t mean they’ll be able to do so, with Torino said to be ‘serious’ and in contact for the signing. For Gollini himself, the prospect of being first choice goalkeeper at the Italian club could be more tempting than being back-up to Hugo Lloris in London.
