Juventus drew 2-2 at home to Lazio on Monday evening, in a disappointing result for the Turin club. They had been leading 2-1 going into injury time, but in the 96th minute Sergej Milinkovic-Savic scored an equaliser.
Juventus supporters showed some love to the midfielder, which will have followed on from media reports that their club is interested in him. Manchester United have been the side most linked in recent weeks, with PSG getting an occasional mention too.
Corriere dello Sport take a look at Monday’s events and they again name the Red Devils and the French club as being in the running to sign Milinkovic-Savic this summer.
After the match, Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri appeared to rule out his star moving to Juventus.
Corriere dello Sport quote him as saying: “The applause of the Juventus fans for Sergej? They were predictable, I hope they applaud Milinkovic with our shirt again next year. Speaking with president Lotito, I am convinced that if Milinkovic leaves, which is not easy after the words I heard from him, he will not go elsewhere in Italy.”
That would give a boost to Manchester United, should the reported interest from Old Trafford be firm and correct.
Interestingly, there were Italian reports on Monday which stated Juventus are now looking away from Milinkovic-Savic, because of the transfer fee needed, and towards the idea of signing Paul Pogba on a free transfer.
