Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen played well in the Sunday match against Arsenal, after a difficult period for the player. Eriksen wasn’t able to find the back of the net for Spurs, something which has been missing for a while now, but his general performance was certainly good.

As with all things Eriksen it’s getting widespread coverage in Denmark, especially after the Tottenham star quipped that voodoo may be stopping him from scoring.

Denmark’s TV3 sent Niels Christian Frederiksen over to commentate on the match, and afterwards he spoke to Eriksen, covered by BT newspaper, with the pundit subsequently revealing what type of mood the Tottenham player was in: “He was given a free role he used it well.

“There are always high expectations for Eriksen on the national team and it is with good reason.”

Denmark have been struggling internationally for a while, and Eriksen hasn’t been able to step up to the expectations around him.

The good performance for Tottenham will leave the Tottenham player in a good frame of mind to continue the Danish fight, but the whole side need to step it up if they’re to move on from the last disastrous international break.
