Tottenham are continuing their efforts to match AS Roma’s demands for Nicolo Zaniolo by including players in the potential deal.

That’s according to La Repubblica, relayed by Giallorossi.net, who say Spurs are ‘attempting to make a new assault’ on the midfielder.

They’ve so far not had any success in their efforts but have tried to meet Roma’s demands, which are currently at €50-60m.

Tottenham don’t want to pay that figure outright so have instead offered two players to Roma to try and reach those figures.

Fabio Paratici has proposed putting both Japhet Tanganga, a defender that Jose Mourinho likes, and midfielder Tanguy Ndombele in a deal for Zaniolo. Mourinho, though, rejected the idea of signing Ndombele as he doesn’t fit into his plans.

Mourinho has instead asked for Tottenham to include Oliver Skipp as part of any potential deal for Zaniolo.

However, at that point, it was Tottenham’s turn to say no as they want to keep Skipp. Thus, there has been no advance in their efforts for Zaniolo, and they’ll need to try again if they want this one to happen.
