Following reports from the Spanish media saying Tottenham Hotspur have an ‘agreement in principle’ with Barcelona for the transfer of Emerson Royal, we now see the Italian press jumping in this story as well.
One of the outlets bringing their view is Tutto Mercato Web, who now says the move is ‘one step’ from being done.
They back up the information that Barcelona accepted a €30m offer from Spurs, then add that there’s even an agreement with the player already.
Meanwhile, Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio comes up with a similar story as well.
The journalist writes that Spurs’ management are currently working to ‘finalise the details and complete the operation’ which will bring the Brazilian to London. It’s claimed that the clubs agreed to a €30m move ‘in the past few hours’.
Even though most outlets indeed say the player is costing €30m, we see website Calcio Mercato coming up with slightly different claims, saying the fullback is moving for €25m.
Either way, it looks like Royal is indeed very close to being sold to Tottenham.
