Clearly wanting to leave Nottingham Forest despite being key to their promotion back to the Premier League, Brice Samba is ever closer to his exit.

That comes a couple of days after Dean Henderson’s loan from Manchester United was announced at City Ground, clearing the way for the goalkeeper to be sold.

RC Lens in France are the club who have pushed the most, and that’s where he appears to be heading, as Foot Mercato bring the latest on the matter.

It’s said there is a ‘total agreement’ between Nottingham Forest, Lens and Samba regarding the transfer, and a tweet from their reporter Santi Aouna adds that ‘if the medical is OK, the goalkeeper will sign a five-year contract’.

The article doesn’t confirm the fee, but previous reports had suggested that the Ligue 1 side would pay Nottingham Forest around €5m for their player’s services.

With one year left on his contract at City Ground and multiple refusals to extend his stay with the Premier League side, the club were left with little choice but to grant him an exit.

At least, this way, Nottingham Forest get some money out of it.
