After what appears to have been a late but quick sorting out of a deal, Andreas Pereira will leave Manchester United this transfer window to get some minutes at Lazio.
Seemingly coming out of nowhere, the deal taking the midfielder to Rome has advanced rather well over the past few days, to the point now that TuttoMercatoWeb are reporting the player’s medical ahead of the move will take place on Friday.
They state ‘tomorrow will be the day of Andreas Pereira to Lazio’, and the Brazil international, who will arrive ‘on loan with a view to buy’ will travel to Italy to ensure he is at the Clinic Paideia in Rome on Friday to undergo his tests.
This comes after claims he was meant to have them on Wednesday, but it appears there have been some delays.
The 24-year-old, who arrived from PSV’s U17s back in 2012, has found game time difficult under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and was always likely to move on this transfer window if the right offer came along.
Lazio appear to be the ones to have struck the right note, and they will benefit from it over the next few months.
