According to a claim in the Swedish media, Malmo forward Pawel Cibicki is on the verge of joining Leeds United.
The 23 year old has been linked with a move the Championship side in recent days, and yesterday the youngster confirmed talks were ongoing.
With Leeds United already securing a deal for Hamburg forward Pierre-Michel Lasogga, Cibicki is now expected to join the German at Elland Road. Aftonbladet report this morning that Cibicki looks to be the next Swede to arrive to arrive in England, following the influx of players from the country in recent years.
The Swedish newspaper say Cibicki ‘is expected to be presented by Leeds United shortly’ and go on to add the Malmo player is ‘on his way to Leeds’.
Last summer Leeds United brought in Pontus Jansson and Marcus Antonsson, and Aftonbladet believe Cibicki will be the next.
Yesterday we covered comments Cibicki made to the Swedish press when he said it would be a dream to sign for a big club like Leeds United.
The Sweden U21 international is seen as one of the hottest properties in the Swedish league, and former Tottenham Hotspur player Erik Edman believes he will succeed at Leeds United.
