With Serie A side Salernitana starting being involved in big market rumours this season, we now see them getting linked to an Everton player.

According to website Tutto Salernitana, the Italian club have Toffees’ defender Michael Keane as a target.

In fact, the report is mostly about the club’s interest in Sampdoria’s Omar Colley, who may be too expensive, given that his price is about €4m.

That’s where Keane’s name shows up. It’s said that Salernitana’s sports director is already ‘looking around’ for alternatives, and there’s ‘more than concrete’ contact with Everton for that transfer.

That’s all the outlet has to say for now, with no information on how much Keane would cost, and no word on his opinion about a potential move to the Serie A.

The likelihood is they’d want a loan.

The 30-year-old isn’t having the best of times at Everton, given that he was only used three times this season, and wasn’t even taken to the bench in their most recent matches. So despite having a contract with the Toffees until 2025, a move away from the club now becomes a real scenario.
