The Colombian media today shares positive news regarding the recovery of Liverpool star Luis Diaz.

According to journalist Diego Rueda, the winger could be back on the pitch at the weekend, when the Reds face Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Furthermore, the report claims Diaz ‘could have minutes’ in Liverpool’s match against Real Madrid in the round-of-16 of the Champions League next week.

Luis Diaz got injured back in October, with a knee issue, and was subbed in the Reds’ 3-2 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

It was well known he’d only return this year, but with his fitness being constantly evaluated, there was no certain date for his comeback.

With the injury ruling him out for most of the season, Diaz has only made 12 appearances so far, with four goals scored and three assists made.

As Liverpool seem to be showing signs of a recovery this season, perhaps he could give the Reds some hope of a good end of campaign in the Premier League, apart from the nearly impossible task of beating Real Madrid by a difference of at least three goals at the Santiago Bernabéu.
