SabahSpor say Sunderland are set to play hardball with Jeremain Lens because of past comments. Yesterday there were claims Fenerbahce had come to an agreement to sign the Sunderland attacker, but this may not be the case.
The Dutch international earlier in the season made comments about a Sunderland relegation making a transfer easier. Sunderland manager David Moyes blasted his antics by saying: ”This is totally unacceptable.”
It’s also been claimed Lens has informed Sunderland about his desire to continue with Fenerbahçe, but Sunderland are said to have told him they’re open to offers and aren’t considering a loan at the moment.
With 7 goals and 14 assists, Lens is regarded as one of Fenerbahçe’s standout players this season. The Dutch winger is loved by the club and fans, but remaining with Fenerbahce could be under threat.
