Jeremain Lens’ future at Fenerbahçe has recently been a major talking point in the Turkish press.

The general view in the Turkish media is that Fenerbahçe are looking to loan Lens from Sunderland again, and they hope an agreement can be made soon. Besiktas are also rumoured to be in for Lens if Fenerbahçe can’t land the player.

However, SporunDibi claim something different. The Turkish website were the first to report Robin van Persie and Nani transfering to Fenerbahçe, and they are now claiming the club’s president Aziz Yildirim has reached an agreement with Sunderland over the Dutch international.

It’s been reported Fenerbahçe will sign the Sunderland outcast permanently, and a fee in the region €5m has also been agreed.

Loved and adored by the Fenerbahçe fans, it’s a no brainer for Lens to continue for the Yellow Canaries. The former PSV winger cost Sunderland €12m, and the Black Cats will be looking to recoup as much as they can.

Accepting €5m would be a big climbdown from Sunderland.
