Brazilian midfielder Arthur will be staying at Liverpool in the January transfer window, with the Reds not contemplating ending his loan deal.
That’s according to his agent Federico Pastorello, who has insisted the player’s disastrous loan deal won’t be ended prematurely.
Arthur joined Liverpool on loan from Juventus at the end of the summer transfer window, with the Reds making a late move to add to their ranks after Jurgen Klopp admitted they had made a mistake in not signing a midfielder.
He arrived at Anfield injured but was working his way back to full fitness during the international break in October.
However, after a series of cameos for the youth side he was struck down with a muscle injury that required surgery.
That side-lined him for three to four months, with current estimates that he will not return to full training until the end of February.
Some reports have suggested that Liverpool could look to end his loan spell early and send him back to Juventus, but Pastorello insists that is not going to happen.
“In January he remains at Liverpool, 100%,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.
“It’s something that has never been in question, I don’t know who has questioned the rumours about his possible return to Turin but it’s not like that, absolutely.
“It is not in the contract and there is no possibility because no one has questioned his stay: neither Liverpool, nor the player.
“As far as next season is concerned, we’ll finish the current one and then we’ll see: there isn’t a real right of redemption, but obviously by continuing Allegri at Juve we’ll have to find a solution.
“So, if Liverpool wanted to renew the loan or make an offer in my opinion, they would find fertile ground.”
