Today’s Don Balon magical cauldron of transfer claims again has a Chelsea bomb which is likely more entertaining than true.
On Wednesday they claimed Roman Abramovich is ‘directly ready to do anything’ to sign Marco Asensio, and now the story has moved on to a Real Madrid teammate.
Step forward Gareth Bale.
The Welshman is said to be aware his time at Madrid is likely over, and there’s interest from England and Germany. But Bale is absolutely clear in his thoughts… he wants to join Chelsea.
Whilst aware of interest from several Premier League clubs, Bale is said to be ‘enormously seduced’ by the prospect of signing for the London club. So much so he’s ‘confessed’ his desires to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Nobody at Stamford Bridge ‘doubts his qualities’, and as if to ram things home further, Don Balon once again state ‘Bale wants to play for Chelsea’.
Real Madrid want their money back for Bale, around €100m, and it’s very hard to imagine Chelsea agreeing to that. It’s also very hard to imagine Don Balon really know what Bale has ‘confessed’ to Ronaldo.
