Earlier today, both TRT Spor and Sabah reported Galatasaray are interested in Rangers’ Rıdvan Yılmaz and are aiming to take him away from Ibrox on a loan deal. It was also said the left-back is open to leaving Philippe Clement’s side in the winter market.

Sabah have come up with a fresh report, stating that the Turkish champions have ‘reached an agreement’ with the 22-year-old. This agreement is until the end of this season.

It’s now down to Galatasaray to agree a deal with Rangers to secure the transfer. Sabah state they are waiting for a response from Philippe Clement’s side, in order to secure the defender’s services via a loan deal.

Sports Digitale journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu states Rangers have ‘rejected’ the Istanbul club’s offer for the Turkey international.

Rangers host FC Copenhagen in a friendly tie at Ibrox later today and Philippe Clement has included the Turkey international in his squad.

Yılmaz’s contract at Ibrox expires in 2027 and in another post via X, Sabuncuoğlu explains Rangers will only allow him to leave on loan with certain conditions attached to it, including an obligation to buy if certain agreed terms are met.
