If you have just woken up and are a Rangers FC fan, then the big news for you is that Aaron Ramsey could be heading to Ibrox.

That’s according to a number of Italian outlets, who all concur that Giovanni Van Bronckhorst’s side are trying to sign the Welshman on loan from Juventus,

Already turning down various moves back to the Premier League, the former Arsenal midfielder appears to be more open to a move to Scotland, and it’s heading in the right direction.

While the latest update suggested he still hadn’t fully made his mind up, Ramsey is now said to be ‘close’ to his Rangers loan.

That’s a step forward from what was being said earlier on, and the new information from Gazzetta dello Sport is that Van Bronckhorst and co. are ‘working for a loan with an option to buy’ with Juventus ‘paying part of the wages’.

The last bit was always going to happen considering how much money the player is on in Italy, and Gianluca Di Marzio echoes some of these sentiments on his website.

The journalist states the two parties are ‘very close’ to an agreement, with the Welshman moving ‘on loan with an option to buy.
