Nikola Milenkovic’s potential move to West Ham has been something over a mess over the past week or so.

Repeatedly it was reported in Italy that the Hammers were on the verge of sealing a deal, with the only thing remaining to be agreed being agent commissions.

Friday saw claims from both Italy and England that the move to West Ham had stalled, and Tottenham Hotspur were pulled into the picture.

Corriere dello Sport back that up on Saturday, and they’re confident that a deal for Milenkovic ‘will close shortly’, with him either signing for Nuno Espirito Santo or David Moyes.

Given it’s thought a deal can be done for around €15m, because the defender now has less than a year left on his Fiorentina contract and has refused to renew, Milenkovic looks like a good value deal for Spurs compared to some of the other options they’ve been linked with.

West Ham won’t want to lose the signing to their London rivals, and the coming days will be interesting as the tussle for the player, who is also attracting interest from Juventus, continues.
