Rasmus Kristensen’s move from Leeds United to Roma is back on track after ‘a few days of standby’ between the two sides.

That’s according to Gianluca di Marzio, who say that his arrival in Rome is ‘now closer’ to happening as the two sides work on the potential deal.

The journalist reports on his website that the Danish defender would arrive on a ‘dry loan’ from Leeds as an option to strengthen them on the right-hand side of Jose Mourinho’s team.

Kristensen has been linked with a move away from Elland Road for several weeks as part of the exodus from the club this summer following their relegation to the Championship.

Roma are keen and have been working to make a deal happen and the player is keen on the switch, but it had been failing as Roma were struggling to move players on.

It seems, though, there has been progress in the talks between the two sides and Di Marzio reports that Kristensen is ‘now closer’ to making the switch.

That’ll be on a ‘dry loan’ according to his information, which would presumably mean Roma won’t pay Leeds anything up front or have an option to buy tagged onto the deal either.

We’ll wait for more information on that front, but it seems this long gestating transfer is now in the final stages.
