Alejandro Garnacho wants to put pressure on Manchester United to let him leave and join Napoli before the end of the transfer window.

That’s according to Sky Sport Italy, relayed by Area Napoli, who cover the latest as Napoli continue to push for Garnacho.

They’re targeting the Manchester United winger as a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who left to join Paris Saint Germain earlier this month.

Several bids have already been made for the Argentine winger, but the two clubs are currently far apart in their estimations of him. While Napoli want a deal at around €50m, perhaps €55m, Manchester United continue to look for as much as €70m.

The Premier League side want to secure as much money for Garacho as possible as he will help their PSR calculations considerably.

Thus, negotiations continue to find an agreement, although several reports in Italy have made it clear that Garnacho wants the switch. In fact, it was even reported that he had been convinced about the move to Naples by former Manchester United teammate Scott McTominay.

Sky now say he wants to pressure Manchester United to accept the bid for him, which is currently €20m less than what they want.

“For Garnacho, Napoli would offer a maximum of €50m,” they are quoted as saying.

“But the player wants to put pressure on Manchester United to lower the demands for the player’s registration, so as to go down compared to the €70m that the Red Devils would like to collect he knows that this is the only way for the transfer to materialize. This is the news.”
