Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi has an offer on the table from Chelsea but is considering his options as Napoli are also keen.

That’s according to Sky Italia, via Area Napoli, who report that Chelsea are in the mix for the German forward.

Napoli are on the hunt for a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratshkelia after he left the club to join Paris Saint Germain.

They’ve targeted several potential options to do so, including Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho, who has reportedly already agreed to the move.

Adeyemi is another on the list, with the 23-year-old continuing to have admirers in Europe despite Borussia Dortmund’s struggles this season.

He’s been out of the side up to now, making just nine appearances and featuring in just 27% of the available minutes in the Bundesliga so far.

That’s made him a player who could move on this month and Chelsea were even credited with an interest in December, when it was stated that Adeyemi and Gregor Kobel had been added to their transfer wish list.

Sky Italia now report that he has an offer on the table from Chelsea but is considering his options carefully as Napoli are also keen.

“Adeyemi is the name chosen by De Laurentiis’s Azzurri, who are carrying out a double negotiation,” he said.

“We thought they had already abandoned Garnacho, but in reality, they haven’t actually done so. €52m is Borussia’s request, but Napoli wants to reach an agreement first with the German player, who has an offer from Chelsea and needs to think about it.

“Yesterday, a small opening from Adeyemi to the Neapolitans arrived, regarding the project, duration of the contract and economic proposal. One of the two could arrive in January.”
