It is reported Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar have received offers for Vincent Janssen from Tottenham and Paris-Saint Germain.
Tottenham already had a few bids rejected, whilst the player made it very clear in a recent interview that a move to the North London club is his ‘dream move’.
Recently, French newspaper L’Equipe reported Paris-Saint Germain are also keen on signing Janssen to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and that they’ve already made an offer.
L’Equipe said: ‘PSG are in advanced negotiations with AZ, and the transfer fee would be around €15m.’
They sounded quite confident about the Dutchman signing for Paris-Saint Germain, or at least that there was serious interest.
However, it now appears they’ve changed their mind. Sunday’s edition of L’Equipe say Janssen has informed Paris-Saint Germain that a move to Tottenham is his priority.
There are claims that AZ have rejected Tottenham’s latest bid of €17m, but L’Equipe believe the figure was €18m, and also suggest the Premier League side have already submitted a new offer.
Tottenham are hoping to complete a deal for Janssen in the coming days, whilst Paris-Saint German might switch their attention towards Lyon star Alexandre Lacazette.
PSG interest always seemed a tactic to pressure Tottenham.
