Some months ago, Juventus were linked with a move for Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap.
The Italian giants had also scouted the striker in a game against Manchester United. While multiple English sides have been linked with Delap, it doesn’t seem as if Juventus’ interest has gone away.
TuttoSport today have looked at the Bianconeri’s hunt for a new goalscorer in the summer and the report mentions the Ipswich Town star still appeals to the Old Lady.
Even if the price tag for Delap is said to be higher than that of their other targets, talent Michele Fratini has tipped Juventus to move for the 22-year-old.
In a chat with TuttoJuve, he made it clear that playing under a manager like Igor Tudor will definitely help Delap.
He said: “The coach would be ideal for youngsters like Thuram and Yildiz, for me he would also be the perfect coach for other talents like Liam Delap who I suggested some time ago and who has now exploded with Ipswich Town.”
Kieran McKenna’s side have seen the Englishman score 12 times in the Premier League this season and even if it is obvious why clubs like him, things might get difficult for Juventus due to the price tag.
There is still a possibility of them missing out on Champions League football and if that happens, they would certainly have to look at cheaper names due to financial reasons.
