Nigerian forward Ahmed Musa was strongly linked with a move to Leicester City in January, but the Premier League champions failed to agree a deal with CSKA Moscow.

According to Russian media outlet Rg.ru, Leicester have come back this summer, and agreed a fee of £21m with CSKA Moscow for Musa.

The Russian website say Musa is in ‘great shape’, and trained with CSKA Moscow on Saturday. However, the player is expected to travel to England on Tuesday, which would probably be to complete his medical and sign a contract.

A couple of days ago, Musa’s agen, Tony Harris also confirmed to BBC journalist Oluwashina Okeleji that he is finalising talks with a Premier League club.

BBC Journalist Oluwashina Okeleji tweeted: ‘The agent of Ahmed Musa has denied reports that he is joined West Ham. Tony Harris: “Finalising talks with a Premier Legue club but it’s not West Ham.”

“I was frankly surprised by this rumour. Yes, he’s coming to England but Musa’s not joining West Ham.”

The 23-year-old scored 17 goals in 40 appearances last season, and has another three years left on his contract at the Russian club.
