Some days ago, it emerged that AC Milan were not going to sign Kyle Walker permanently from Manchester City.
The indication was that the Italian giants were not too impressed by the defender’s performances . More has now emerged about the situation, which isn’t completely decided yet.
Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo has reported Milan believe the Manchester City loanee has shown himself to be a reliable player but is past his best. That is why judgement around him is ‘suspended’.
The Rossoneri will not pay a fee of €5m to sign Walker permanently and it is ‘only with a discount’ that they would want to keep him beyond this season.
Sergio Conceicao’s side want to execute a deal at around €1m to €2m and if the Citizens agree to that, things could change.
Even then, Milan want to see more from the veteran till the remainder of the season to make a final decision. The upcoming derby in the Coppa Italia semi-final will be decisive and it could determine whether Walker will return to Manchester City or not.
