Earlier on Monday, we covered fresh claims from the Italian media regarding Chelsea’s chase for Napoli star Victor Osimhen.
It was said the Blues are in a battle with Paris Saint Germain for the striker, and a summit in the next few days will find out whether either of them is willing to pay the €130m price.
Meanwhile, Osimhen continues to impress many people in Italy, and Area Napoli now features some new interesting quotes from the local media. Those come from Paolo Esposito, who sends huge compliments towards the Chelsea target.
Osimhen now has 14 goals and four assists in 26 appearances for Napoli this season. Even though the club are changing managers, and it’s possibly Antonio Conte who’ll manage them next season, it seems president Aurelio De Laurentiis will have a difficult time keeping him this summer.
The request is still pretty high, though, so Chelsea and PSG need to show they’re willing to come close. Osimhen has been flirting with an exit from Napoli for a while, and that could finally happen in the summer window.
