Juventus have been trying to find a new home for Arthur Melo for much of the summer transfer window, and now it looks like he’s on his way to Liverpool.

The Turin club signed the Brazilian from Barcelona in 2020, in what seemed to be more of a financial deal, to help the accounts of both clubs, than a football one. Since then there’s been repeated rumours about the midfielder leaving, with Arsenal being the Premier League side most linked.

Arthur’s career has stalled since his move to Serie A and there’s been an eagerness to get him back on track.

Gianluca Di Marzio now reports the 26-year-old is set to sign for Jurgen Klopp’s side. Liverpool have been short in midfield due to injuries and have been linked with several options.

Di Marzio states Arthur will be joining Liverpool on loan, and there’s no mention of any purchase option. He’s set to travel from Turin to Merseyside for a medical and to complete the formalities required to seal the deal.
