Anderlecht youngster Enoch Agyei is ‘on his way’ to Burnley after the Clarets made a late move for the 18-year-old.

That’s according to Het Laatste Niuews and Nieuwsblad, who say the youngster will be moving to Turf Moor in the summer.

HLN report that that while it is proving to be a quiet end of the window in terms of incomings for Anderlecht, they are to set to ‘lose someone’ and that is Agyei.

He is ‘on his way’ to join Burnley, who, via Vincent Kompany’s extensive knowledge of Belgium, have made their move for a player who is yet to feature in Anderlecht’s senior side.

Het Niuewsblad back this up, stating that Kompany and co have moved to sign the 18-year-old and he is ‘planning to pluck’ him from his former club.

The move is not set to take place on deadline day of the January window but at the end of the season instead.

That’s because the 18-year-old is out of contract at that point, leaving him free to negotiate with clubs about a pre-contract agreement this month. He already has a ‘personal agreement’ with Burnley.

He also had interest from other sides in Belgium and the Netherlands but ‘opts’ to join Kompany and Burnley instead.
