Having joined Arsenal from Sampdoria in 2018, AC Milan were keen on acquiring Lucas Torreira’s services in the summer, but failed to complete the deal.
The Uruguay international continued with the Gunners and has started in only four Premier League matches this season.
On November 7th, we carried a report from TuttoMercatoWeb, who explained the 23-year-old ‘isn’t living a good moment’ at the Emirates and ‘seems unhappy with his adventure in England’.
It was also explained a meeting was scheduled in the coming weeks. The same website once again relays the player is ‘not happy’ with this season at Arsenal and is also unhappy with the position in which Unai Emery has asked him to play.
Emery used him in his preferred defensive midfield position last campaign, while he’s largely deployed him in the centre of the pitch this term.
TMW further adds his agent will fly to England next week to discuss Torreira’s future with Arsenal. If there are ‘no conditions to continue’, the South American could leave the north London club by ‘mutual agreement’.
Milan once again get a mention as they are closely following his situation at Arsenal.
These claims shouldn’t be dismissed just because they’re coming from Italy, with the player’s agent having a long record of speaking to the Italian media.
