Swansea City have reached an agreement with BK Häcken for Zeidane Inoussa’s arrival in the summer window.
In the last two windows, Celtic and Hull City showed interest, and this was confirmed by the forward earlier. It’s unclear if the two clubs were still chasing him but that won’t matter because he’s been sold to Swansea City.
Häcken’s official website has confirmed the sale of the 22-year-old to Swansea City.
Their sporting director, Martin Ericsson, is thrilled with the deal agreed with the Welsh club for the winger’s transfer.
“It is yet another confirmation that our model is successful,” he said.
“First and foremost, I am happy for Zeidane. We have had a clear plan with him from the start and the fact that it is now becoming a reality shows once again that we can sell, are interesting in that market and have a good environment where we are good at developing players.”
Inoussa was at Brommapojkarna’s academy before leaving them for Caen in 2019. During his time with the French club, he was sent out on loan to Real Murcia and Valencia before returning to his former club permanently in 2023.
The Swede was sold to Häcken in February 2024 and made 36 games so far, managing 11 goals and seven assists. He will leave his country for the second time to join Swansea City in the summer.
On what the Championship side can expect from Inoussa, Ericsson explained: “Zeidane has been important for us, despite the two long periods of injury ‘Z’ has had.”
“His individual skill, speed and physicality make him a constant threat to the opposition, and he has contributed greatly to the European campaign last year and the fine cup run we have had this year.”
