A year after signing Timothy Castagne from Atalanta, Leicester City have plans to raid the Italian club again for Robin Gosens.

The left-back, who has been playing a little further up the pitch, has been in fine form for the Serie A side, scoring 12 goals and registering eight assists in all competitions this season.

On May 17th, L’Eco di Bergamo explained the Foxes are thought to have presented a bid of around €25m. However, this offer is ‘not enough’ as La Dea are demanding €40m for the Germany international.

Four days later, Calciomercato stated ‘new contacts’ were made between the 26-year-old’s camp and the Premier League side.

Sport on Monday now claim Barcelona are also looking at Gosens to bolster their left-back position next season.

Apart from the Spanish club, there are ‘many clubs behind him’.

The newspaper points out claims made elsewhere that Gosens’ ‘signing for Leicester City was taken for granted’.

However, Sport add the defender has ‘not signed anything’ with any club so far, meaning his move to Leicester is not yet sealed.
