Lens winger Óscar Cortés is in Glasgow to complete a move to Rangers on loan until the end of the season.

That’s according to journalist Pipe Sierra, who says Cortés is currently finishing his medical examinations before completing a move to Philippe Clement’s side.

He reports that the 20-year-old is already in Glasgow undergoing the required medical exams ahead of his move from the French side before signing his contract with Rangers.

Cortés will arrive on loan from Lens until the end of the season and the deal will include a purchase option for the Colombian, although he doesn’t share what the value of that clause will be.

Should he impress Philippe Clement and co, though, Rangers can sign the player on a four-five-year deal if they activate the purchase option that they’ve secured with Lens.

Cortés will be another arrival at Rangers this month, with them also bringing in Fabio Silva and Mohamed Diomande on loan to bolster Clement’s squad.

Cortés will presumably go into the first-team squad as well and provide the Belgian boss with competition on the right-wing, where they already have Abdallah Sima, Scott Wright and Ross McCausland.
