Saman Ghoddos is set to swap Brentford for Southampton this summer when his contract with the Bees comes to an end.
That’s according to Fotboll Skanalen, relaying information from Varzesh Se, who report that Southampton have moved to tie him up on a free transfer.
The Iranian midfielder is set to become a free agent at the end of this month, with his current deal at Brentford set to expire and the two parties deciding to go their separate ways.
That will bring an end to a four-year spell with Brentford, who originally signed him on loan from Amiens before making the deal permanent six months later.
It seems it will not be the end of his time in the Premier League, though, as newly promoted Southampton have made their move to secure his signature.
Varzesh Se state that Ghoddos wants to remain in England and the Premier League and so, with that in mind, is about to sign a contract with Southampton.
The two parties are believed to have agreed on all the necessary details and Ghoddos is expected to sign a deal with Southampton in the next few days.
