Everton and Southampton are among clubs in the picture to sign Tottenham Hotspur’s Japhet Tanganga in the summer transfer window.

For the past two days, reports coming out of Italy have mentioned AC Milan as a suitor for the defender, after his agent held talks with the Serie A winners earlier this week.

Stefano Pioli’s side are joined by the Toffees and Saints in the chase for the Spurs man.

Late on Friday, Sportitalia journalist Gianluigi Longari took to Twitter to state the 23-year-old has ‘many fans’ across the continent. From Italy, the Rossoneri and Napoli are closely following the Tottenham centre-back.

Longari adds Antonio Conte’s defender has the opportunity to stay in the Premier League, where he has received ‘requests’ from both Everton and Southampton, to sign him on a loan deal this summer.

At the same time, Longari explains the opportunity to make a switch to Serie A ‘teases’ the player.

Milan and Napoli will play in the Champions League next season, something that Everton or Southampton will not be able to offer to Tanganga.
