Last month, Trivela reported Fulham are in regular contact with Fluminense and are ready to beat competition from other Premier League sides to sign André Trindade.

ESPN in Brazil now claim the 22-year-old is ‘ready to move’ to Europe and Fulham could be an option for him.

Fluminense are aware he has to leave eventually, either in January or next summer. Their finances are better when compared to last year but the report states they still need €35m to balance their books.

It’s claimed the South American club have been firm in demanding a fee close to R$187m [€34.8m] to part ways with the player, who has publicly talked about his “dream” of making a switch to the Premier League.

His ‘preference’ is to move to England, where Fulham ‘in particular’ could be an option for André, more so if João Palhinha were to leave Marco Silva’s side in the winter market.

The Brazilian can operate in midfield and as a centre-back. Taking his physical and technical ability into account, ESPN say Fluminense believe the Fulham target will be a ‘perfect fit for the Premier League’.

André and Fluminense have opened the door for the transfer and it’s now down to Fulham or another club to find an agreement to seal the deal.
