Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a string of forwards recently. Vincent Janssen, Michy Batshuayi, Tony Sanabria and Mauro Icardi have all been the subject of many stories.
A couple of days ago, claims arrived that Tottenham are interested in Lucas Alario, a 23 year old playing his football for River Plate. Serie A’s Genoa are also interested and the player’s agent has made the situation very clear.
Quoted by LPM, Pedro Aldave explained: “Today Alario is at River. There was only one proposal, from Genoa, and interest of Tottenham. If Tottenham pays the clause, Alario is going.”
The player’s clause is said to be $15m, a reasonable price for the striker. A bigger problem would likely be a work permit, because unless Alario is entitled to an EU passport through ancestry, then he’d have problems getting together the required points.
