This week, reports from Brazil claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers are in ‘advanced talks’ for the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk winger Pedrinho.
It was claimed Wolves already submitted a bid to land the player, and the talks should indeed have a ‘positive outcome’.
Pedrinho is currently having vacations in Brazil, and as Globo Esporte now features a story on him, they point out he’s indeed expected to make a move in the summer.
The outlet writes that the player prepares to make a ‘big leap’ in the next transfer window, with his representatives admitting that ‘Premier League clubs opened negotiations with Shakhtar Donetsk and can buy him in June’.
It’s said Pedrinho currently waits for the bid to be made official, which ‘should happen in May’.
It’s worth pointing out that in Goal’s story, it was claimed that Wolves’ bid for Pedrinho included a confidentiality clause which not only forbid financial details from being leaked, but also the name from the club who placed the offer.
Still, their report managed to find it was the Molineux side.
So with Pedrinho’s staff now pointing out Premier League clubs are in talks for the winger, that could perhaps be a reason why they did not directly refer to Bruno Lage’s side.
