AMKSpor report Fenerbahçe are chasing Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel and have entered into advanced negotiations with the Premier League side.
Fenerbahçe have already signed creative midfielder Mehmet Ekici and they are hoping to partner him with the Chelsea player. Van Ginkel is currently on loan at PSV Eindhoven, where he’s rediscovered his form in recent weeks.
AmkSpor claim Fenerbahçe board are expecting no problems with Chelsea, but their main concern is trying is to convince Van Ginkel to join them.
Fenerbahçe president Aziz Yildirim has reportedly told his board members that they’ll do everything to get him for next season, and Fenerbahçe officials are currently in England to discuss the transfer.
It’s also understood Fenerbahce have tabled an initial loan bid for Van Ginkel with an option to buy, which Chelsea are happy with.
Fenerbahçe are also hoping they can get a helping hand from their former player Dirk Kuyt because the club believes Van Ginkel’s compatriot could influence him to join the Turkish giants.
Van Ginkel doesn’t seem to be in the long term plans of Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, and could move on this summer.
