Earlier on Monday, a report emerged from France that Nuno Da Costa was going to leave Nottingham Forest.
The striker, who arrived in January, was said to be heading towards the exit after struggling to have any impact at City Ground, and a move to Royal Excel Mouscron was supposedly being organised.
This came from French journalist Manu Lonjon, who merely claimed the player was ‘close’ to the move to Belgium.
The outlet explain the Jupiler Pro League side should make Da Costa’s transfer official ‘in the early afternoon’, and the deal is expected to be a ‘loan with a view to buy’.
It’s just an option, which isn’t compulsory, and it seems the Belgians want to see what the Cape Verde international has to offer before committing any proper money towards him.
Da Costa joined Nottingham Forest from Strasbourg for £1.8m and signed a deal that was meant to keep him at the Championship club until 2023.
