Earlier this week, we saw a report from Gianluca Di Marzio saying Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Victor Nelsson from Galatasaray.

It was claimed contacts are ongoing for the transfer, and despite his €25m release clause, there was no info on how much the Reds would like to pay.

Now it’s time for the Turkish press to come up with an update, with Takvim bringing their slant on Nottingham Forest’s pursuit.

Following those initial claims, the outlet comes up to say that Galatasaray actually have set a price for Nelsson’s departure.

It’s claimed that the Istanbul side will not accept less than €20m for the transfer.

That may be taken as Galatasaray’s request for the player, who’s valued by Transfermarkt at €18m. But for those more optimistic, that also means Notitngham Forest can sign him for €5m less than his release clause.

The fact is that we’re still to see reports telling how much the Tricky Tress are willing to offer for the player, but with this request now public knowledge, it wouldn’t be surprising if they were to start with a lower offer.
