With Mauricio Pochettino now manager at Paris Saint-Germain, the easy option has been to link Tottenham (or recently former) players with a move to the French club.
Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli have been the recurring names, but one man the Argentine is actually considering to bring in at the end of the season, not in January, is Manchester City’s Sergio Agüero.
The striker is currently in the last six months of his contract at the Etihad, making him a free agent come July 1st should he fail to renew with Pep Guardiola’s team, and it’s an opportunity Pochettino doesn’t want to miss.
This comes from Bruno Satin on Canal+, who was asked on Late Football Club what Paris Saint-Germain could do in January.

For him, there’s little they can achieve barring maybe lowering their wage budget with some exits, but the summer could be a more active transfer window.
He said: “There’s a player he likes a lot and he’d like to see come to PSG, and who, on top of that, will be free in July, it’s Kun Agüero, who naturally is Argentinian and who Pochettino knows very, very well, having followed him when he was in England”.
That’s rather big news, but it remains to be seen what the Manchester City striker wants to do, as it wouldn’t be the first time a player let his contract run down to the last minute only to renew with bigger wages.
