Fenerbahçe’s Arda Güler and Ferdi Kadıoğlu have ended up on Newcastle United’s agenda, according to a report from Turkey.

Güler, 18, came up through the ranks of the Yellow Canaries’ youth system while the 23-year-old joined them from NEC Nijmegen in 2018. Their displays seem to have pleased Eddie Howe’s side, who ‘will follow’ them closely in action for the Turkish club.

That’s at least what A Spor are stating and they further add Newcastle will send their scout to Istanbul to watch the duo in action when Fenerbahçe face İstanbulspor later today.

At the end of this season, the Magpies want to knock on the Süper Lig side’s door to ask about the winger and the Netherlands-born Turkey international.

It’s claimed Jorge Jesus’ side ‘expectation’ is to collect around €45m for the two players in the summer. There’s no mention whether Newcastle intend to pay this fee to sign the duo.

Apart from Newcastle, Ajax and other clubs are also keeping tabs on Güler and Kadıoğlu.

Güler has been mainly used on the right wing, while has been used across other attacking midfield positions and also in the middle of the pitch this season. He’s managed four goals and four assists from 26 games.

Kadıoğlu has been used on both sides of the defence and also as wing-backs. He’s made 39 appearances this season, managing a goal and three assists in the process.
