Malang Sarr has less than three months left on his contract at OGC Nice.

According to Le10 Sport, the 21-year-old will not sign an extension and has decided to leave the Ligue 1 side.

The number of clubs keen on signing the centre-back is ‘as long as the arm’ and Newcastle United are one among them.

Apart from Steve Bruce’s side, Everton and clubs in Germany and Italy are also after Sarr. Le10 states the Nice player does not have a preference when deciding his next destination.

However, Sarr is clear of his desire of not wanting to continue in France next season. He wants to try a new adventure at another European club.

The Covid-19 outbreak has resulted in economic crisis. Therefore, the defender will have even more suitors because of his contract situation and Newcastle will face tough competition to acquire his services.

If Sarr decides to make a switch to St James’ Park, he will be reunited with his former teammate Allan Saint-Maximin.
