Newcastle United have enjoyed a good run in the league this season, losing only once in 18 matches.
The Magpies are currently third in the table with 35 points from 18 matches, ahead of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
Eddie Howe’s side are one of the firm contenders to qualify for Champions League, and in this context, Newcastle are already ‘actively working’ to shape up their squad for next season.
That’s according to Jeunes Footeux, who state the Tyneside club have set their sights on RC Lens’ Kevin Danso and Rennes’ Désiré Doué.
The Austria international centre-back has impressed for Lens and established himself as one of the best defenders in the league. It’s claimed his transfer could be carried out at the end of this season for an offer of €35-40m.
Jeunes Footeux say 17-year-old Doué has a maturity, vision of the game and quality well above his age.
He is backed to have a bright future and it won’t be easy to take him away from Rennes. The attacking midfielder won’t be sold in the coming years unless the French club receive an offer that is difficult to refuse.
