Several Newcastle players could leave this summer, after the club were relegated to the Championship, and one of them could be Ayoze Perez.  The 22-year-old was in reasonable form last season with six goals and 2 assists in 34 appearances, quite a few of those being substitute appearances.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, Newcastle could replace Perez with Nano, who also plays for Tenerife in Spain’s Segunda Division. The 21-year-old has been in impressive form this season scoring 14 league goals in 22 starts, and AS believe clubs from England have enquired for him, including Newcastle.

The Magpies, however, face competition from Real Betis, who have scouted him quite a few times this season. Betis want an attacker and if they can’t secure Charly Musonda on a new loan from Chelsea then Nano may be their man.

Rafael Benitez always has a preference for players from Spain, and this could be another example.
