As Leicester City fullback Timothy Castagne continues to get heavily linked to an exit from the club, there’s now some interest from France in his signing.

Journalist Ignazio Genuardi is the one reporting it on Twitter. There it’s claimed that the 27-year-old is wanted by Rennes.

It’s highlighted that Castagne ‘wants to leave’ Leicester City, but that may not be enough for him to accept an offer from the French side.

According to Genuardi, the player is likely to ‘prioritise’ a move to a bigger club, and with Juventus currently linked to him, that’s the kind of option he could go for.

Castagne’s contract with Leicester City runs until 2025, but with the club’s relegation, it’s actually no surprise that his departure is so likely.

Besides the links with a move out of England, the player is also said to be wanted by Fulham.

Recent reports have been claiming that Marco Silva’s side are ‘pressing’ to close an operation with the Foxes.

Leicester City are said to be demanding €15m for his sale, and that battle only helps them to get the price they want.
