On June 6th, Tutto Udinese reported Everton and Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on Rodrigo Becão.
Later that month, multiple claims from the Italian media stated the Toffees continue to press to sign the Udinese player.
It was also explained the Serie A side will need €15-20m to part ways with the centre-back this summer.
Everton confirmed the signing of James Tarkowski on Saturday. Despite his arrival on a free transfer, it seems like the Merseyside club are looking to bring in another player in the same position.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Brazilian has ended up in the Premier League side’s sights for the ongoing window as they ‘bet on Becão’.
It’s said the ‘negotiations are underway’ between Everton and the Italian club for the 26-year-old. At the moment, there is still distance between the two sides, likely over the valuation of the South American.
Although the negotiations are ongoing, the report makes it clear the agreement between Udinese and Frank Lampard’s side for Becão is ‘not yet close’.
