Playing 85 minutes and scoring in Belgium’s 3-3 friendly draw against Mexico, Eden Hazard got the minutes he wanted during this international break, although he also managed to pick up a knock.

Only just coming back from a rather severe ankle injury that forced him to miss all of preseason and the first few games of the season, the Chelsea star knew playing too much in games that meant little would be foolish.

However, despite reports of a ‘concern’ regarding Eden Hazard’s fitness, Roberto Martinez, in a press conference on Monday, relayed by DH, made it clear that while the winger didn’t train on Sunday ahead of the game against Japan, ‘there was nothing serious’.

This will be a relief to Antonio Conte and the rest of the Chelsea squad, especially after the team’s rather disappointing start to the season, already nine points behind leads Manchester City after just 11 games.

So far this season, Eden Hazard has scored three goals and picked up four assists in 13 appearances.
