Lazio are restructuring their midfield this summer, with more work to do should Sergej Milinković-Savić leave the Rome club.
The Serbian has been repeatedly linked with a transfer, with PSG and Manchester United thrown into most stories about him, however, no offer has arrived at the Serie A club so far.
Il Messaggero look at the options Lazio have to bring in, and that’s when Everton’s Allan gets a mention. The midfielder has been repeatedly linked with a return to Italian football, with several clubs pushed forward in recent months.
According to Il Messaggero, Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also a possibility, although it’s thought he’d cost a lot more than Allan. Signing the Everton player would be ‘much easier’ for Lazio, and there’s the suggestion of a low cost deal.
The 31-year-old has a contract with Everton which lasts until June 2023, and it would be no surprise if an Italian side tries to get him on a free, with the Toffees asked to release the player.
Whether Everton would be up for that remains to be seen, and it surely makes sense to first see if anyone is prepared to pay a fee.
