Believe it or not, Manchester United continue to get pushed into Anderson Talisca’s transfer rumours.

Even though it’s been a while since the Red Devils were last claimed as contenders for the midfielder, newspaper A Bola found a way to mention the club this week.

Talisca belongs to Benfica, and is currently having a loan spell at Besiktas. With recent claims from Turkey saying he has no intention to stay there if the club don’t qualify for the Champions League, the Portuguese press covers it, explaining the clubs who could land him in the summer, as the Eagles shouldn’t keep him.

A Bola takes claims from the past couple of days to say that Roma and Wolverhampton would both be interested, but what they recall as their own information is that Manchester United still follow his situation.

Even though Talisca doesn’t speak much to the European press, he already talked about the Manchester United interest in Brazil last year.

Interviewed in his home state of Bahia, the player confirmed that José Mourinho has an ‘old affair’ for him, and claimed that playing for Manchester United would be ‘a dream’.

Mourinho is a publicly confessed fan of the player, openly suggesting he would have taken him to England some years ago if not for work permit issues.

But just like we pointed out at the time, the fact that Manchester United continue to be brought up in these stories make it sound very fabricated, to say the least. A Wolverhampton move would make a lot more sense in the summer, especially with Jorge Mendes being one of the representatives intermediating his transfers.
